Background and History of Brain Waves Educational Kinesiology Consultancy : Husband and wife team have been partners of this company since 1997.Started out as concerned parents to understand and help our own children’s style of learning as well as other children, we scour the world for programs to unlock the potential and maximize performance within them. Pioneers in the field of Kinesiology Brain Gym® in Singapore since 1996 and are the only Certified Providers of the Listening Program, USA.

Completion of Brain Gym® and other specialty Educational Kinesiology courses/ certification taken in New Zealand, Canada, USA and Australia. Completed also training and certification in Cranio Sacral Therapy and Lymph Drainage Therapy, Touch for Health and Counselling Practicum (The Satir’s Model of Therapy).

Our vision: To help children and adults unlock their potentials within them through Brain Gym movements, integrative PLAY and Music Therapy. We believe that learning is not all in the head.

Experience: Coupled with eleven years of experience, we come mainly from the hearts, taking in children that have severe difficulties, those with developmental delays, emotional or social issues, suicidal and mental cases, ADD, ADHD, CAPD ( Central Auditory Processing Disorder), Dyslexia and Sensory- Dysfunction, those with Autism Spectrum, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.


We believe that by giving them an opportunity to play, learn and to establish a sense of personal space and of upright balance (all the activities involving gross-motor coordination for moving in gravity), they will achieve success at a neurologically organized behavior, that experience becomes a springboard for further learning and growth.

Services/ Achievements : Awarded the ‘Excellence Service Award’ by the Educational Kinesiology Foundation in Ventura, California in 2004.

Brain Gym Program together with integrative play are conducted for children aged 4yrs to 12yrs old over three weekends. There are 4 groups with a maximum of 15 children in each group. 90% of these children are so called “challenged kids” as we term it and have some form of learning difficulties. They learn the Brain Gym movements and how to apply them in school and at home with great success.

Activities such as roller blading, ice-skating, cycling, swimming, trekking, rope & knot tying, outdoor cooking, canoeing, rock climbing, juggling, balance board therapy, kite flying, woodcraft, camping, origami, traditional games and other integrative play and eye-hand coordination games are carried out during the playgroup classes over the 3 weekends.

Overseas educational tour to Australia - in 2002, followed by four Malaysian educational tours the following years. (namely to the farm stay in Johore, holidays in Mersing, stay in floating resort in Tasik Kenyir and in 2007,7 days in Langkawi, had been organised.

These children also get a therapy/consultation visit on a monthly basis to help them with their sensory/primitive reflexes/integration problems.

Brain Gym courses for parents and teachers are conducted periodically throughout the year. Overseas Instructors are invited to teach Brain Gym related courses and higher level courses.

In addition, in 2006 we became the only Certified Provider for The Listening Program? in Singapore, with the rights to sell the Level One Kit. The Listening Program is a Music-Based Auditory Stimulation method that trains the brain to improve the auditory skills needed to effectively listen, learn and communicate. It consists of an extensive series of high-quality audio CDs that integrate specially produced acoustic music, primarily classical, with innovative sound processing techniques that exercise the brain and auditory pathways.
